Memory Tells Me That These Times Are Worth Working For

Skirt: H&M
Top: Urban Outfitters
Cardigan: H&M
Shoes: Below 7
Bag: Vintage
Badge: San Francisco Aquarium

I had to tie up some loose ends today including a doctor's appointment and printing some photos/getting a card for my canadian flatmate who is returning home when we move out on Wednesday. Bittersweet times. We're having a movie night/sleepover tonight to spend some good time together before a night out tomorrow and train home Wednesday morning. It rained as soon as I got out of the doctor's, my first port of call, and this explains my hair, ok?

My skirt isn't wonky, I just cocked my hip, I promise. I saw a friend wearing this and had to have it, luckily we won't be seeing each other over summer so no outfit clashes. But sad face for not seeing friends for three months. Hopefully some of my friends can make it down for my birthday. Which I bought a dress for today! Along with a romper which Mel bought the same one of, it was too cute to pass up!

The top was in the sale at Urban and after years of being against horizontal stripes, recently I've been loving them. Does anyone else do that with trends? The favourite part of my outfit though is my badge. It's an octopus and says, need a hug? I love all my badges, I need to remember to get close ups in future though as I always forget to ask Mel to take them. From Wednesday I'm going to be shooting in my garden probably with a tripod apart from days when I get up the courage to ask my friends to do it for me. Get ready for some questionable photographs over the next couple of months.

I got shouted at from a car today while trying to take photos and I really hate taking them in the street with people walking past but I need to just man up!!

To Be Born Again

Skirt: Handmade via stall in Manchester
Vneck: H&M
Cardigan: H&M
Tights: Primark
Shoes: Vans
Bag: Vintage

Today I had some errands to run in the day then in the evening I went to this amazing night put on by friend, Grant. It was upstairs at a local pub, it was an acoustic folk night with four local acts and it was called 'The Big Sleep'. We all took pillows and sat on the floors and it was so chilled out and amazing! It was the first time I'd seen Grant do anything musical and he was literally stunning. He has such a good voice. And totally the vibe that I'm into right now so kudos to him. My friend was also djing with some very chilled out music.

I found this skirt in Manchester in the confusing land of Affleck's Palace. It is handmade and one of a kind and I love the print and the lace at the bottom. I paired it with a simple black top and white cardigan as I felt the pattern of the skirt was hard to match with anything. I feel like this outfit just doesn't look quite right and although I loved wearing it, I'm not too keen on how it looks in photos. Does anyone else ever get that? We had to take these in our halls lobby as well as it was so grey outside which probably adds to my dislike for them. Outdoor photos are so much nicer and that wallpaper is foul!

On my shopping excursion I managed to get the materials for my telephone costume which I will be debuting on Thursday along with a mass amount of food that will never be consumed in the week that I have left in Leeds. I have to start thinking about packing about my room here soon and it's terrifying. I love university so much that I don't really want to move home yet. Independence is like a drug and I'm hooked!

I also managed to find this vintage genuine Dooney and Bourke bag for only £18. I'm undecided on whether to sell it on or keep it. I should really sell it as I am a poor student and I have a bag habit already but something else inside me screams no! A dooney and bourke bag is an investment and this one is so cute. What do you think I should do? Sell or keep for myself? Let me know!

Young Adult Friction

Skirt: Vintage
Cardigan: H&M
Vest: Primark
Belt: Urban outfitters
Tights: Primark
Shoes: Primark/Below7

Notice anything strange about this outfit? I was so disorientated and ill feeling this morning while getting ready that I grabbed two different shoes and didn't even notice until I met Willis at the train station in Sheffield. They look quite similar which is why I didn't notice but I'm in a bit of a dilemma for whether to wear them out tonight for a friend's birthday party.

I got this skirt on my trip to Manchester this week. I found two high waisted skirts while I was there which have been on my shopping list for a while now. This print is quite in your face and I even got a comment at the train station but the minute I start taking style advice from people who will shout at strangers in the street is the day I give up on fashion. The cardigan was also a Manchester find cause I've been craving one in this colour for ages. It's on the large side but that makes it mega slouchy and comfortable.

It was raining all day so this outfit was designed to counteract the bad weather. We took these photos out on Willis's porch which is really cute and perfect for the summer. Today we were celebrating our second anniversary, for the second time. First time around we were both stressed and it ended up in us watching house in bed all day so today we decided to try again.

Willis wanted to get in on the action again so I got some snaps of his outfit too.

T-shirt: Nike SB via Flatspot
Shorts: H&M
Deck shoes: Topman
Stubble: Custom

Safe to say he's digging the nautical trend this year. He didn't actually wear this outfit today but wanted to bust out his new deck shoes.
