Words Can Never Make Up For What You Do

Top: Forever 21
Vest: Forever 21
Skirt: American Apparel
Belt: Urban Outfitters
Leggings: ebay
Sandals: Topshop
Sunglasses: Primark
Beads: Gift via Barcelona
Tapestry Bag: Vintage

It was another heatwave yesterday and I was ready to go out bare legged but it was also quite windy so I didn't want to risk an exposure issue. I had to do some things in town, including trying out the new burrito place. It was a pretty fun afternoon and then in the evening I had a canadian themed pub crawl.

I picked up these Forever 21 things when I was in America on holiday but I always peruse the website with lustful eyes and have even payed the extortionate international shipping rates twice to order stuff online. I heard yesterday that there is a Forever 21 opening up in Birmingham which I'm definitely going to have to go and have a look at because it's like a more trendy primark with better fitting clothes. This top was perfect for today, breezing and loose, and the vest was great because my arms were free to melt in the sun.

It's only a few more days until I move out of my halls and it's all jampacked but I'm so nervous about going home. Hopefully I'm gonna get to see my uni friends two weeks after I leave for my birthday night out but after that it's for the long haul. Big sad face to that I say! It's Summerball tonight but first, I still have to share about last night. One of my flatmates, and greatest friends, Ryan is from Canada and he's leaving us to go home next Wednesday so we organised a Leeds tradition called an otley run for him as a farewell. It was canadian themed fancy dress. I made my costume myself from scratch and was so proud of it.

Yes, my fridges do have faces and moustaches on them! But anyway, we had a Pamela Anderson, an 'eh' tshirt since Ryan was already canadian, a dress made from a canadian flag, a snowboarder and some more canada leaf adorned clothing and then my costume. A telephone! It was invented in Canada but by a scotsman. One man called me a childline advert!

Have you ever made a totally amazing costume? This is the first one I've put any real effort into and I'm so glad I did as everyone loved it.

Haha, that telephone costume is adorable! You are in Birmingham right now? That is awesome, a good friend of mine is doing her exchange semester there right now. If you ever meet a sweet blonde German girl, give her a hug from me, hehe ;)
Your outfit is really cute. I miss F21, too, I was so happy to really shop my heart out there last summer when I was in the US!

Oh my god haha that costume is amazingg! You talented girly you! :D I always go for easy fancy dress - last time I went as peter pan - green leggings, brown boots and a long green top with zigzags cut around the hem. Easy as pie. :) PS My best friend went to the summer ball (hope you had fun) and she said the thing that stuck out the most was the distinct lack of toilets!! 10 to 8000 girls or something?!
