This was the last day of the holiday and my favourite outfit. We spent the morning finishing up things in Malmo then got the train over to Copenhagen where we spent the afternoon in Christianhavn, followed by a lovely meal at Wagamamas then a trip to the airport where we had a long wait ahead of us. They changed our gate at the last minute and didn't announce it but eventually we got on the plane and headed home.

The vest and scarf were vintage finds from the trip and I just really like this nautical themed outfit, love the colours of the scarf especially. We took these photos at a church which had a ridiculously tall spire which you could climb. The stairs were on the outside and needless to say, I was not enthusiastic to go up. After we saw the price tag we decided to sit in their garden instead and drink my slushie.

I'd recommend Scandanavia to anyone for a holiday, it's a lovely place with lots to see and do. It was a lovely break and I can't wait to start planning my next trip to somewhere, I've got itchy feet already.

This was my favourite day of the holiday despite a mishap at the beginning. We rented some bikes from the hotel, (free of charge, definitely recommend Scandic hotels) and went for a ride to the beach in Malmo, known as Ribbersborg. If you follow me on twitter then you'll know that I had a little accident and came off my bike resulting in one grazed knee, two grazed hands, a bruised wrist and very bruised leg. After a little cry, I picked myself up and carried on like a trooper.

It was worth it for the day we had afterwards. The beach was beautiful, so warm and the water was completely clear although I didn't go in. Apparently, it was freezing. We walked along the pier to a little jetty and lay in the sun listening to music. It was such a lovely chilled atmosphere and it felt nice to just be lying in the middle of the sea.

Afterwards, we rode down the rest of the board walk and then to the park to visit the windmill in the park, it was huge and there was loads of people milling around, enjoying the sun and jazz band that were playing. After clearing up my knee back in town, we went out for a lovely meal for our last night and filled up our suitcase with new purchases including magazines and sweets.

I tried these dungarees on instore, thinking they were on sale but they werent so when I went online and saw they were in fact reduced, I snapped them up. I normally roll up the shorts more but as I was bare legged, I left them a bit longer. They're really comfortable though and go with lots of stuff so they were definitely be carried through to autumn, despite how crazy that sounds.

Malmo on a Saturday is a strange affair. All the shops close around 3 or 4 in the afternoon, so we made the most of the shopping hours by scouring the city for bargains and vintage shops. A few purchases were made but nothing too extravagant. I found the best vintage shop and stocked up on some knitwear for winter, it was all so cheap as well. Like a vintage shop but with a charity shop approach, it was called Humana if anyone wants to ever go shopping in Sweden.

After shopping, we decided to head up to Malmohaus Castle which involved a nice stroll through the park. These photos turned out bad due to failing light. This outfit wasn't what I wanted to wear either. I'd packed a dress and then when I put it on I'd realised it had shrunk in the wash and I was really peeved. I had to summon up an outfit I'd planned for later in the holiday but this dress ended up being the most static thing I've ever worn. Nightmare!

After a lot of walking, hysteria set in from exhaustion and resulted in some hair moustaches being made. We then tried to locate a restaurant we wanted to eat at but couldn't for the life of us find it so after a long and unneccessary walk, we ate right near our hotel. It was tasty though, so no complaints. We ended up not doing much in the evenings because we were so tired from doing things in the day and drinks were so expensive, it didn't make much sense to drag ourselves out.

On our second trip of the trip, we had the early afternoon in Copenhagen and then we had to catch the train over to Malmo in Sweden. For the afternoon we headed to an area called Nyhavn which is basically a little canal with lots of boats and restaurants lining the pavements. I love these brightly painted houses that line the street and the vibe there was pretty laid back.

We got an ice cream after these photos were taken and then headed back to the train station. The train journey was ridiculous, it took half an hour and we went over the Oresund bridge. I don't know how to do all the swedish characters in blogger, so sorry for my incorrect Swedish grammar! It was a lovely view as we went over the bridge and then suddenly we were in Sweden. Very surreal! We checked into our lovely hotel and then went exploring around some of the squares that were right near our hotel. A gorgeous and expensive dinner was consumed in Victors in Lila Torg, we were too tired to search out somewhere cheaper, and I'd definitely reccomend it!

I picked this dress up the day before we left actually. We had to go to London to spend the night at my dad's house as he was driving us to the airport so we went to the East End Thrift Store, famed for their jumble sale parties, for a little browse. I picked up so much stuff I liked in there, the store seemed to be divided into one section expensive and one cheap. I found a gorgeous blanket cape but it was in the expensive side so I passed. Luckily, this dress was in the cheap side. I might still head back and hope the cape is still there.

We didn't go to Tivoli Gardens as we heard it was overpriced to a ridiculous extent but I liked this sign that they had outside. We watched the crazy tall rides from the street and I'm kinda glad we didn't go in because I don't cope well with heights. It looks pretty fun nonetheless.

Let me start by saying, I love Scandinavia! My holiday was amazing and all of it was wonderful. Denmark and Sweden are both wonderful places, so stylish, clean and places I'd love to live. They felt like real cities rather than just tourist attractions like Paris and Rome can feel. We were surrounded by a few of my favourite things, bicycles (everyone rode a bike everywhere), wonderful architecture and stylish people!

The weather was smiling on us as well as it was sunny and warm for the entire trip.

When picking my outfits for travelling, I always think of comfort and the ability to remix items. My first day outfit consisted of a simple shorts, top and cardigan but the colours help make it a bit more stylish I think. I wore a different top for the plane and changed when we got to our hotel in Denmark. We spent the first day wandering around Copenhagen. We went to the Carlsberg museum as our first stop.

It was kind of boring but there were these cool elephant gates by the museum which we took some photos with. After that, we headed into town and stumbled into an area we weren't even looking for but it was perfect for me. Lots of vintage shops, cool bars and cafes. Everything was expensive in Copenhagen mainly because of the exchange rate so I didn't buy much.

We finished the day was a delicious meal of pasta and an early night ready for our next day of exploring.

I am headed for Scandinavia. 

Anyone who follows me on Twitter has probably seen this already but today I booked an impromptu holiday to somewhere I've always wanted to visit. I've got the flights booked for sure and picked the hotels and just need to get them all booked up. It's so very exciting! I'm going for four nights with my boyfriend and it's all working out really inexpensive, especially for a famously expensive place.

Anyway despite my wanderlust, I still managed to put together my inspiration for the week post.
