This must be a bit of a welcome break from what has become my standard photo background, aka the street outside our house. We ventured over to Otley yesterday to scour the charity shops and managed to get quite the haul. I'm sure everything will be shared on here soon enough. 

I have been thinking a lot about primary colours and how good they look together so I brought that into this outfit. I would have loved to have worn blue tights to complete the look but once winter comes, it's hard to drag me out of my super cosy tights. 

I hate it to say it because it is only mid way through November but I've really started to feel Christmassy what with all the decorations in the shops and talking about potential presents. I'm hoping to get a record player as my vinyl collection is now getting a bit silly for someone who has no way of playing them! What's on your christmas wish list?

This outfit got two reactions from everyone I saw. One was that I looked slightly Amish, hence the posing with the hat that I didn't actually wear out. The other was that I was dressed like a toddler. I kind of love the toddler idea because I do still dress like a child sometimes. I never really like myself or my clothes too seriously. Life's too short!

Does anyone else love the satisfying clunk you get when walking in heels? It makes me feel so much more put together. These brogues only have a low stacked heel but they still have that wonderful sound when I walk. I had to storm up to university as I was running late and the noise made the rush a little more bearable. 

It dawned on me the other day that there's only four weeks left of this semester. How insane is that?! Where is all the time going?! Before you know it I'll be graduating and entering the real world. Extremely scary prospect!

I've held a package of Jasmine's clothing hostage since the beginning of summer. I admit it, I'm a clothing swap hog! I wore this skirt back when we first did the swap and I like how it lends itself to so many different colour combinations. I might even try and squeeze in one last outfit with it before I have to send it back along with the other stuff we swapped. 

I wore this outfit for a hectic Monday where I had a million and one things to do including a meeting at uni, a few hours in the library reading up on philosophy, a casting and a visit to the local history library to look for some photos. I like how busy I've been lately but it does tend to catch up eventually and tonight is the night. I feel completely drained and like I just need to have an early night with no reading, no stress and no film screenings. I've been catching a screening most days for the film festival so tonight I decided to stay home and recuperate.

Truth be told, I felt a little like an autumn leaf in this outfit. I'm always conscious of having only one colour other than black in an outfit which explains my love for coloured tights, an easy injection of colour.  This mustard yellow blouse wasn't an obvious fit with any of my tights but I actually grew quite fond of this combination. I'm gradually combatting my addiction to patterns and wearing more block colours recently. 

The skirt was a sale bargain and since I am strong believer that you can never have too many black skirts (I currently have 4) it works perfectly with my wardrobe. I foresee this boots being worn to death this season, just like my last ankle boots from UO which now sit sad and holey in the corner of my room. 

I saw Melancholia last night and it was stunning. The camerawork made me feel nauseous, which I assume was the point, but despite that it was a really good film. The Leeds Film Festival starts tomorrow and I'm so excited for nearly three solid weeks of watching films. A film I worked on is even in the festival!

So I've gone from no photographs to a complete photograph overload. Mel got a new lens, a 50mm of her own, so we took some photos just as the light was failing on our way to get lunch at the wonderful Café Lento in Headingley. The lack of light is really beginning to irritate me because it makes it so much harder to get good looking photographs when we're in a rush.

We've finally moved into the production stage of our short film, it's even more stressful than pre-production because it's all now, now, now but I'm loving it all secretly. I love making films so I shouldn't complain. For those who've asked if I'll be showing it once it's finished, if I can get a copy then I'd definitely be up for putting it on vimeo or something.

I know this is a very predictable Chloé outfit, floral, my bobble hat and my boots, but I'm settling for comfort dressing recently as it's hard too cold to do anything but wrap up warm and hope frostbite doesn't set in. 

Turns out, I'll have a UK Blogger of the month for tomorrow after all, no international one for November though.

I thought I'd show you guys this outfit in a different way. Meet one of my best friends, Howard. He jumped in when he decided I wasn't loose enough in my outfit photos and the following ensued. We were right outside the exit to the union pub so we got quite a few strange looks for our impromptu photo shoot. He's been dying to get on my blog so HI HOWARD!

I didn't realise how short this dress was until I got home after a full day at uni but I'm definitely glad I wore leggings anyway. I decided today I'm going to invest in jeans because wearing shorts and tights in bitter bitter Leeds persuaded me that I'd rather look silly than loose my legs to frost bite.

I held my first casting today for the short film I'm producing. Basically, it's a five minute short about a guy who wakes up with a squatter underneath his bed. We had a casting today and I think we found our lead male which is such a weight off my mind. I'll admit, I've been freaking out lately about how much work I have to do, but if I get my deadline for next week sorted then hopefully I'll be back on top of things. 

I'm kind of thinking it's getting too cold to wear my dresses now but I so rarely wear trousers, it's awkward for me to transition into that dressing purely for warmth stage. It will have to happen at some stage though. Have you given into the cold yet?

When I'm not posing, I'm wrapped up in a coat and a scarf and my bobble hat so normally I'm ok but my legs do still suffer. Time to double up on tights and pretend their trousers perhaps?

These photographs were taken using my 50mm lens and I absolutely love the look they have. Unfortunately, I'm having some camera issues. When I went to Otley, I was knelt down in a charity shop looking at shoes and a woman stood on my bag. When I took my camera out later on, my screen had a crack in it. Silly woman!! Luckily, it's not affecting the LCD but it's still going to cost me at least £100 to fix. If I ever see her again, I will be billing her.

Layering has become my life. I'm kidding but only a little bit. I adore layering though so it's alright but no doubt I'll be bored of it soon. I kinda miss the days when I could throw on a sundress and some flats and be gone. Getting dressed has become such a long process in the mornings. I went shopping today for the first time in ages and the purchases I made were enough to scare my bank balance into not shopping again for a while.

My bobble hat has become my defining feature lately. People recognise me on the street by the little bouncing bobble on top. Best fiver I have ever spent.

It finally stopped raining long enough to take some outfit photos. Don't get the wrong idea, it did still rain and it was still freezing and it was still like walking in a tornado but at least I got some photographs. You lot must be sick of this backdrop by now but it's so convenient to pop to from my normal hang out when I'm on campus, the union pub. I've realised that deadlines are a lot closer than I had thought and it's time to get a move on with work. I'm currently producing a short film, writing a documentary proposal, writing an essay and putting together a photographic portfolio.

I just love the look a crew neck jumper over a dress gives. It's so much warmer than a cardigan as well! I've struggled with styling these mustard tights that I had been craving for so long so I've only worn them a handful of times and this is their debut on the blog. My love for coloured tights knows no bounds.

Just to prove how windy it was, there was a dozen like this when it came to picking which to post today. Fingers crossed for some unseasonable weather please. I'd just like it to be dry and less windy, don't mind the cold as long as it's not blowing up my dress!

Apologies for my absence. It's been so difficult to get outfit photos lately, as I'm sure anyone else in the UK will agree with! It's either been raining or dark ridiculously early. I'm trying desperately to get photos taken but now I've resorted to indoor shots to at least have something to post. This is what I wore to the first day of the Leeds International Film Festival. I've seen three films so far, all quite wonderful, and I'm looking forward to all of the others I still have to see.

This gives you a little glimpse into my bedroom. My prize bike, which I haven't actually ridden since I've been in Leeds and the lovely art adorning my bookshelf. I picked up those prints at the Bust Craftacular in summer. They're having a Christmas themed one at the end of the month, I'd love to go but the trek is too far from Leeds to London but I'd definitely recommend it to anyone! 

I think I've been having Seasonal Affective Disorder lately and I really hope that it goes away soon so I can just embrace winter and all it's coldness!

Dressing for lectures is becoming increasingly difficult. All I want to do is bundle up in as many wooly items as I own (which is a lot judging by my overflowing drawers) but then I have to sit in stuffy lecture theatres and melt. Striking the right balance is difficult. I was pretty cosy in this though, only my ankles felt the chill.

This is the bit of park on campus that we walk between the two building our lectures are in. There's a graveyard and a crypt and it's a bit creepy to be honest but it's nice to see some greenery every day between cramming my mind with information. A few deadlines have crept up on me and I need to keep on top of them. I'm meant to be working on my own screenplay as a side project anyway but it's taken a back seat recently.

I got this top to wear as my minnie mouse costume last year but it was definitely a lot longer than it is now. When I pulled it on, I was shocked as I could have sworn it was a tunic last time. My jeans saved the day though. This cardigan is super cosy and slouchy so perfect for how I was feeling on Monday morning when I got dressed.
